Winter School “Introduction to Daylighting Design in Buildings”

Jan. 7 to Jan. 10, 2024 - at the University of Tuscia

The Winter School “Introduction to Daylighting Design in Buildings”, organized by the UNISOL (Universal Natural Interdisciplinary Study on dayLighting) research group of DEIM – Department of Economics, Engineering, Society and Enterprise, is starting and will be held from Jan. 7 to Jan. 10, 2024 at the University of Tuscia.

The Winter School is coordinated in agreement with the international group NLITED (New Level of Integrated TEchniques for Daylighting education) consisting of researchers from Sweden (Lund University), Denmark (DTU), UK and Poland (Gdanks Politechnick) and UK (UCL).

The Winter School is an educational event designed to introduce participants to daylighting design with aims to improve the energy performance of buildings and the well-being of inhabitants.

THE PROGRAM
The program includes theoretical sessions, hands-on workshops and the creation of a small architectural project, offering students a unique opportunity to gain practical skills and fundamental knowledge in this growing field.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Theoretical foundations of daylighting design
  • Implementation of simulation tools for accurate analysis
  • Practical applications emphasizing energy-efficient architectural solutions

For more information on the program, please check out the event poster.
